Stroke Day 4

Dad went in for the CT scan this morning at 7am, but we have not yet seen the doctor for his analysis of the scan.

The Physical Therapist came in today and worked on Dad for a little while. Whilst he was there he asked Dad to shrug his shoulders and he did it immediately (just the left one moved). Then he asked him to move his foot and he did. Dad's eyes are shut most of the time, but he's very aware of his surroundings and responds when you speak to him. It's so encouraging seeing these small steps of improvements.

Thank you for interceding for us and for standing in the gap. Your prayers are being answered, but please keep holding us up. You are the Body of Christ in 2009 and healing comes through the body. Have faith. Stand still and watch the Salvation of the Lord.

  2. Sherrie & I continue to pray for all of you.

I think how Jesus addressed Peter one time. He told Peter that Satan desired to sift him (Peter) as wheat. Jesus told him that that he would pray for him. I thought, "That's great. I would want Jesus to pray for me, too." But, Jesus didn't pray for the devil to leave him alone. Jesus' prayer for Peter was, "But I'm going to pray that you faith doesn't fail."

What a prayer! A prayer that our faith doesn't fail! Faith can move mountains if we speak to them.

I just wonder... the healing of our bodies was part of the atonement. So then, is that why Jesus prayed for Peter's faith not to fail?

In times like these, faith truly becomes the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

I pray that the faith of all of us does not fail. The faith that God has put in our hearts has brought you and your family this far and it will be enough to take you all the way.

    God bless.
